Independent Vinyl Flooring Subcontractor – Kingston / Belleville / Trenton

Location: Kingston, Belleville, Trenton & surrounding areas
Position Type: Independent Contractor / Project‑Based


Overview

We are seeking skilled and reliable Vinyl Flooring Subcontractors to support ongoing multi‑residential renovation and apartment turnover projects across Kingston, Belleville, and Trenton.

This role is ideal for professionals experienced in vinyl plank (LVP/LVT) installation who can deliver consistent, high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment. All work is assigned using a pre‑approved pricing structureno quoting required—with reliable bi‑weekly payments.


Scope of Work

The subcontractor will be responsible for vinyl flooring installation and related preparation tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Installation of vinyl plank and tile flooring (LVP/LVT)
  • Floor preparation (cleaning, leveling, minor patching, underlayment as required)
  • Removal and disposal of existing flooring (as scoped)
  • Installation of transitions, trims, and reducers
  • Cutting and fitting flooring around walls, cabinetry, and fixtures
  • Minor subfloor repairs (non‑structural)
  • Ensuring proper layout, alignment, and finish quality
  • Coordination with site supervisors and other trades
  • Maintaining clean and organized workspaces

Pricing & Payment Structure (Important)

  • All work is completed using a pre‑approved, fixed price list
  • Jobs are assigned with clear scopes and standardized pricing
  • No job‑by‑job quoting or estimating required
  • Additional or out‑of‑scope work must be pre‑approved
  • Consistent bi‑weekly payments based on completed and approved work

Requirements

  • Proven experience installing vinyl plank / LVT flooring
  • Strong attention to detail and finish quality
  • Ability to complete units efficiently and meet timelines
  • Valid WSIB coverage and general liability insurance
  • Own tools (cutting tools, tapping kits, levels, etc.), PPE, and transportation
  • Ability to work in both occupied and vacant units
  • Knowledge of proper floor preparation and installation practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in apartment or multi‑residential renovations
  • Familiarity with high‑volume unit turnover environments
  • Ability to complete full units independently
  • Strong reliability and communication skills
  • Availability for ongoing, repeat work in the Kingston/Belleville/Trenton region
