Byng’s ongoing success will depend on scaling up operations while continuing to deliver the best service in the multi‐family industry. In support of this effort, Byng must maintain world class tech-enabled processes and infrastructure to support operations and fuel growth.  This includes flawless management of logistics and end-to-end supply chain.  Furthermore, Byng must invest in nurturing positive client relationships and listening carefully to feedback to ensure client needs are met. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Financial Analyst will play a lead role in Byng's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis to provide actionable insights for operations and strategic decision-making. 

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the preparation of company's annual budgets
  • Create and manage complex, multisource financial models using Power BI, Power Query for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis to predict future financial performance
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and pinpoint areas for improvement, efficiency, and cost optimization
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, conducting variance analyses and providing insights to guide strategic adjustments
  • Prepare monthly management reporting packages with clear variance analysis and insightful financial reports for senior leadership, executive teams and the board of directors
  • Monitor and report measure key performance indicators (KPIs) that track financial health and strategic progress
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to help develop and assess business cases for strategic initiatives and investments, including assessing their financial impact
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience as a Financial Data Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field
  • Experience in construction industry, and multifamily residential renovations
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Experience in building complex financial models
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting
  • Strong ERP Skills/Knowledge
  • Proficient in Power BI, including expert-level knowledge of DAX and M code for complex data modeling and transformations
  • Strong command of Power Query for data extraction and cleaning
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite for financial and operational data integration.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and present to project managers, accountants, executives, and Board
  • Ability to manage multiple datasets across projects and periods
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Role is in Office 5 days per week (to support operations some early mornings may be required (6:00am)

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 per year
